Yeah, it's not very practical, but that's not the point of it's existence. The video comes from the Max Planck institue of Cybernetics. Don't really know what that is, but I can guess that it's something like a conceptual modeling of a desired technology. Sure, we can't place it in a box and share the experience, but just the same, this thing does seem really cool to experience when you can. Get Star Fox on that thing and make it 'Barrel Roll'.
