Forums - Nintendo - Angry Sun files found in Super Mario Maker through data mining (DLC?), other bits

- Twitter user NWPlayer123, who is known for data mining Nintendo games, has come across an interesting discovery. It appears that there are files within the game for the Angry Sun. That’s leading to speculation of DLC, though there’s definitely no such confirmation currently.

- NWPlayer123 also came across a couple of other interesting things. Also found through data mining, it seems as though there were originally plans to allow players to place Bullet Bills without a launcher. Moreover, Goomba’s Shoe was considered for New Super Mario Bros. U mode.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

On-disc DLC? That would be one of the most awesome things to happen on these forums in quite awhile.

Looks like they're taking the Splatoon approach but with more tools at the start. I just got the game and still have stuff to unlock so I'm not too bummed about more hidden content.

I am no developer but maybe this could be preparing the game for DLC? Perhaps? If it indeed has anything to do with dlc at all of course.

If it is on-disc DLC then there won't be enough popcorn around to deal with what's coming.

That would be my guess.  Remember, though, that some have voiced the option that a developer should not even think about DLC until after a game is shipped or else they should physically damage the part of the brain that handles DLC planning.  I mean, wouldn't this lead to charges that they cut content from the game to make DLC?

Also, N b4, "Nintendo does on-disc DLC the right way."

1) Hopefully those posts were properly bookmarked just in case.

2) If that ever happens, I can imagine some bringing that argument. lol

... okay, where is Angry Sun in the image, they are blank png files or am I missing something. Looks like left over images to me, finding images means squat if there's no code to handle them.

Hmm, pie.

Wait what? One of the most iconic Mario enemies is not in the game by default? I thought the game had pretty much everything.
What else is missing?
