I've played Heritage of War. It's a bit different from WoT. I really want to play the Growlanser Generations game on the PS2 though (thats the one with the first and second in the series, right?)

I believe its 2nd and third. 1st has never had a western release.

Its one of those games that can last a eternity.
Reason enough to get it, you can grinde forever.

That's one of the things that really puts me off the franchise.

I wouldn't say 79 on Meta as a hit... would be great if the game was at least from the low to mid 80s

YES! I really like that game too, although I wish that the PS2 version had been localised.

That would've been freaking awesome!

I find the characters funny but the gameplay is way too deep. The story on the other hand isnt, and thats my biggest problem. I tried the first game and ended up dropping it, after that i skipped every game until Disgaea 4 on the Vita that seems to have a more interesting plot, but again, it just moves too slowly.

Hopefully i get to beat D4, but i dont think D5 has a chance until that happens. I like fantasy political plots too much on this genre.

Meta is up to 80, and more positive reviews have been piling in. Not that the series tends to review badly. Low to mid 80s is basically par for the course.
