I'm on the fence with battlefront.  i was watching game trailers on my ps4 the other day and I was really impressed with the graphics. My first thought was,no way the game actually looks like that. The gameplay looks good,but it also looks kind of slow. The game also looks like battlefield in space. that's also the first thing that I thought of,when I was watching gameplay videos. I'm also afraid that the game is going to lack content and variety. I don't think I'm going to get the game day 1,but them graphics though. thoughts?

there will be an open beta.

i am on the fence too. it doesnt have a single player, and its starwars.... i dont like starwars but this game looks really great. so i will try the open beta and base my purchase on it.

Even if I will happily play a game mainly online, online only usually is a no from me. The principle of it puts me off as at least other developers went through the effort of creating a campaign, even if it was rubbish.

Anyway... give it a go in the Beta, whenever that is. I played the Hardline Beta, I enjoyed it but found myself only playing 1 game type so don't think there would be any difference with this.

I was gonna wait for the beta to see if it was fun, then continue to wait till the used premium edition is a reasonable price. Battlefield 4 burned me.

EA is involved in this, and things like the BF4 launch make me weary of this game. Until the game isn't fully reviewed by everyone and all the info is on the table, I won't consider a purchase.

There is way more negativity surrounding this game than I ever could have imagined.

That's what any associations with EA does.

Will probably be useless for 3-4 months, like the BF series online. As for the gameplay and concept itself; I can see it being fun but perhaps overly simplified, the aiming looks weird and too simple and the pace of the battles seems a little arcade-like to me.

The game looks amazing.

BUT: No Campaign = No buy for me.

well battlefront never had a real campaign, but they cut the little there was.
