Forums - Gaming - What's your opinion about Telltale Games?

On the matter of waiting for Borderlands episodes, that's just the risk you accept when buying episodic content. I hated the waits for TWDs2 and TWAU. And on the topic of length, remember that the entire season goes on sale often, even before the final ep releases, for as low as $6.25 on steam and humble bundle. I plan to just wait for their current games to rap up and ship out before I buy them now. I had the option recently to get Borderlands, Game of Thrones and some third cheaper telltale game from humble bundle recently for about $12 I think and I still passed because I knew they probably weren't finished yet and I would have no real problem getting them cheap in the future.

I like their games, especially Wolf Among Us and Walking Dead Season One, but they really need to significantly improve that engine and get consistent with their releases. Waiting months for an episode is poor management and frankly pathetic.

I've always thought TT was an overrated developer and that none of their games looked appealing. But people like them so I won't try to take that away from them

Used to love them. Now, I don't. I still haven't finished TWD season 2. I got to the last section of the last chapter and turned it off. I just wasn't emotionally invested. It's not like the games are fun to play. They have to be engaging or they aren't worth the money.

And why do they glitch so goddam much!?! Had to restart every game they made and hope to God that I avoid the glitch!! I own TWD 1&2, Sam and Max (all seasons), Back to the Future, and The Wolf Among Us.

Not in my language, so i don't play them, since there is some choice with timer, i don't have time to translate/play fast !

-WD S1 and S2
-Tales of Monkey Island
-Sam and Max S1-3
-Wolf Among Us
-Tales of the Borderlands
-BTTF
are all great, but they are getting way too QTE-ish for my taste. Wish we can go back to actual point and click gameplay like we got in Sam and Max, Monkey Island and Back to the Future.

Walking Dead is fine because of the choices and consequences, Wolf Among Us is great because of its unique world and characters and Borderlands have some great comedy and choices. But the QTEs are extremely easy and painless if you failed. You just get a game over and try again almost no risks.

Honestly the only TT game I dislike so far is GOT, and it's mostly because TT doesn't have enough freedom with the license.

I still like them. First season of TWD and WAU were fantastic, 2nd season of TWD less so, and I'm still looking to play Borderlands when it's cheaper.

I don't like Adventure games. Telltale only make Adventure games. I don't like Telltale.

I'm a fan of them. I didn't really notice a difference between the first and second season of The Walking Dead; I liked both of them.

Not really a fan. Too much story, too little gameplay. I do see their appeal though. It's just not for me :/.
