Probably from me? I wrote several ridiculously huge posts in there, that's not exactly a secret. The reason I keep bringing it up is precisely due to its ridiculous nature, and it becomes more hilarious and ridiculous for each passing day and the OP has fled for dear life like we predicted.
It's not only about the hardware number itself; the whole premise and imaginary scenario of everything else crashing and "rules" like "the strongest console never wins", but most of all it's the obnoxious attitude of the OP and his posts that make me want to remind people of that thread.
For the OP; the thread is serious, which makes it all the more entertaining.

I have been here for 8 years and I never saw anything nearly as ridiculous for PS3 predictions or rhetoric, not even Crazzyman or Hus managed that at their worst/best. It has also been a very long time since I called myself a Sony fan, I turned completely away from console gaming in the 7th gen because I found that it sucked really badly (something you should know if you've been keeping tabs on me to the point of using "always" to describe my behavior) and I have also been one of the loudest voices to shut down ridiculous PS4 predictions in here for years, as well as described the PS4 as a platform as "complacent" and even "boring", the former description is found in that very thread I linked.
No one can rightly say that I haven't berated MS for their mistakes either, I was among the most vocal against mandatory Kinect and believe I may have been the first user to predict that it would hurt their sales and consequently be removed and made optional instead.

I still don't own any 8th gen consoles, I have an old PS3 here that I have bought a single game for in the past two years (FIFA 15). Everything else, I play on my PC. I find PC gaming to be phenomenal in comparison, ever since around 08.

PS: Yes, I will keep linking to the UNITY thread when the opportunity arises, the OP himself states that he will be remembered by it, he was less clear as to why that would be the case.

How do you mean? You think I know him in real life? I live in a completely different part of the world. I know the user account very well because he's been pulling the same stunt on this very site for 8-9 years now, ever since the early days of the Wii and I've had a running discussion with him ever since, but today he seems to run away from discussion rather than run discussion.

Whats is more LOL worthy is that he predicts that the X1 and Ps4 will have a difference of 10m when all is said and done.

As of right now, the difference is more than 10m between the two. So that means that the X1 will have to (somehow) close the gap and remain selling almost identical to the Ps4 monthly, which we know is factually impossible.

I just cant *sigh* and *smdh* enough when it comes to Pachter.

Also, the Wii U will never reach 20m. Never.

I find his PS4 predition possible if things keep on going well for it, Wii U one possible, despite current meh sales, if the next Ninty moves to support it go well and, above all, if Ninty doesn't kill it early.
XBOne looks overestimated and a classic case of some Americans thinking USA= World, but still possible too if MS manages to make XBOne sell better in the rest of the world.
As of now, with nothing changing, though, only PS4 one could be considered sensible, but the others make more sense too if we consider that it's quite reasonable to think that both MS and Ninty should try to make their products sell better.

You think the Wii U will sell more than 20 million lifetime? If so, what will drive these sales? It will have to essentially double its installed base before exiting the market, and interest isn't exactly expected to increase in the coming years and it likely peaked last year. Market leaders may go on to sell decently once new hardware has released but distant 3rd tends to flicker and disappear fairly quickly.

There really aren't a lot of arguments left for 20 million or more right now.

That said; I'd like to know where he got his other figures from as well, they're both too high, especially the One. It would need to basically start selling on par with the PS4 from here on out to make those numbers and both would need to remain highly relevant for another 5 years or more, which seems increasingly unlikely from where I'm sitting.
