This game reminds me of Chrono Cross level design and world map but the battle system is more akin to Chrono Trigger without going into battle mode like Cross.

Do you like what you are seeing?

Looks good! I want this game to do well in Japan!!!

The translator was bad.

Dev says "combat uses the squeenix classic ATB system", translator "the game uses a real time battle system". Doh! Not the same thing Mr translator... plus everone else (who plays JRPG's) could understand that.

Anyways, i saw it during the presentation. Doesnt look bad, but i'm gonna need to see it in a more finished format before i commit anything to it (and with localisation confirmed).

To people waiting for a localization confirmation, it was confirmed....at E3. This is Project Setsuna that they only had concept art to show during the SE E3 presentation. The reason it may look somewhat basic is because it's being made by a new studio, and this is their first project. I wouldn't expect any kind of groundbreaking features or gameplay elements. What this is banking on is hopefully having a good story.

This will be releasing globally in 2016, so, ya know, keep up and hope for the best.

If you need a reminder about Project Setsuna at E3:

I saw this gameplay during the first live stream they did without an English translator. They showed the demo and everything there. I think then they redid the live stream with the translator. I posted it because it was the only video I found but I haven't seen it completely, I think I beat every single website news around, no one has posted it. :D

By the way, I made a thread with new video footage of FFXV and new details from TGS some hours ago:

Just in case you guys haven't noticed.

really like the artstyle, one good looking turn based rpg.

Yeah, combat is totally Chrono Trigger.

Yeah, Chrono Cross would have the camera rotating around your character as you imput a command and then would have close-ups, but Trigger is a more: battle on the spot and seemless transition between character traversing the area and battle.

The houses and character models and textures remind me of Chrono Cross though. That game had a beautiful art style and visuals. And a soothing soundtrack as well. :)

Looks really good.I love that it has a gameplay that resembles chrono trigger, that battle system is one of the best there is.I still need to see more of it, and i do have some issues with it, like the weak battle music, and some or other detail, but it looks promissing

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

It's gorgeous. I want to play it and I want to support this kind of project.
