On average I usually only get a half a dozen games when I get a console... sometimes not even that much (rental days made that easier).  I bought almost a dozen on my latest one (my most ever) and I've been hearing all these complaints about release dates for games and how consoles need to release games on a steady basis.  Here I am enjoying the ones I have.  Perhaps games don't have the replay value they used to have.

So, all this made me ask the question, how many games do people generally buy for their console?  

Cant really answer that. I buy games I'm interested in. Sometimes its 5-10 and sometimes its 80-100

I probably do between 8-12 at this point. Gamefly has dropped that number from my usual 50-100.

Usually about 10 or something like that. Except for the Vita, I have 20 games and more to come (but 3 games only on my 3DS...).

On average, I wanna say 10-15.

I only really buy 3 or 4 a year, I trade in a few too. MY PS3 collection is about 15 games total because I got rid of the rubbish I have for it. PS2 even smaller.

My PS1 collection though is different, went through a binge of collecting classics. Have loads.

Wow... that is an incredble amount for one console.  Which one was it?

360 and Wii. Sold many of them though...

Currently I've owned consoles only near to the end of their life cycles so my average is 8-12 but I can see myselfe buying 20+ games for a console in the future
