Yep it's the first thing that caught my eye and I don't like it.
Signature goes here!

A rotating thingy that's also clickable? Like a mousewheel shoulder button? :o - that would reduce space and no need for a second button below the first, this is for a handheld device.
not sure how this is so confusing. i'll put it in terms MSony fans can understand.
Sony fans: R1 and L1 is disc shaped and can be pressed or rotated.
MS fans: right bumper and left bumper is disc shaped and can be pressed or rotated.
not the most exciting of "innovations" but could be useful. at the very least it adds functionality without be obtrusive. in some ways i think it makes a handheld device more useful as a real controller. basically,.. handhelds are too small to have both a R1 and a R2. it's one of the reasons vita remote play kind of sucks because you basically lose your R1. so here i guess you could map disc press to R2 and disc rotate to R1.
...or something. that's the best i can come up with as far as i could possibly care.

And triggers.
I hope and think this is a seperate, cheaper device for "emerging markets" with limited access to cheaper games on the eshop. So a second, budget handheld for countries like China.

I love you soo much if true.

Ooook, I was scared from those 2 single buttons, still since it's for shoulders buttons, why arent there 2 pairs of them ????

Seems like a controller to play mobile android garbage, 2 face buttons? Lol

Well it's getting closer then for the announcement. 2016 will be interesting and full of debate and ban on forum lol.

I don't think so at all. As far as "gimmicks" (I hate the new condescending use of that word) go, revolving bumpers isn't exaclty the most out there. Blue ocean means new audience. What new audience is there left to get. We know about them all already, and rotating bumpers isn't exactly going to send casuals in a tizzy. That's a core innovation.
| gabzjmm23 said: good patent for the directional shoulder buttons. hopefully they'll incorporate it on a normal controller without a screen. as some nintendo fans are skeptical on a gamepad controller which pushes the console to have a high price point with lower hardware specs. |
Again, the screen was never the problem. The size and shape was.
