Forums - Nintendo - Predict Pokemon GO download count (I am inevitably right)

In under a week and with virtually no advertising whatsoever this game exceeded 20 million daily active users in the United States alone.

I weep for those who think this will die within the year. College campuses are the perfect breeding ground for this game, and the fall semester starts next month. This is only the beginning. Some of y'all acting like we've already made it to the intermission, when the orchestra hasn't even finished getting in tune for the overture yet.

I didn't expect it to be this huge this quick, but I'm not really well versed on mobile download numbers, 1 billion seemed like a lot.

I don't think any game had 1 billion installs, not even Candy Crush. Also, I think people are overestimating appeal of Pokemon GO to general public that plays games like Candy Crush.

Than again, I would've never guessed that Real Racing 3 has 300 millions installs, so there's that.

In the US Pokemon Go is already the biggest mobile game in history, beating out Candy Crush and Angry Birds when you look at unique users per day.  It is also currently beating out Facebook, Snapchat, and Twitter in the same category.

Pocky Lover Boy!

This will be my 2nd to last shameless necrobump of this thread.
I'll bump it one last time when 1 billion downloads is confirmed by a reputable source.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
