The third version of main Pokémon games can probably be made in a month lol.

Do you even think before you speak? That is, no exaduration, the stupidest thing I've heard all day.

And Pokemon Go was announced today.

2 weeks then.

How on earth can you think they spend 3 years on a game with barely any changes? These third versions have always been shameless money grabs.

Ask them, because they do.

2-3 years between releases doesn't mean 2-3 years dev time. Especially when they are making and releasing other games in that timeframe as well.

They have multiple teams working on the games, dude. Platinum started towards the end of DPs developement and it had a different director because the team who did DP was starting BW, so that's two years right there. They have at least two major teams.

Apparently also with the green spin-off tag and not the red main-series tag.

This is weird.

That makes me leaps and bounds less worried. I was afraid Pokemon was going "multiplatform" on mobile and PC, and frankly, I think Gamefreak would be open to it and I don't thing Nintendo has the whole over the franchise that many people believe they do.

If Gamefreak could override Nintendo like that. Then they would of put the games on Sony or a MS system already.

I'm really excited for this. I've tried Ingress and it was fun but it lacked the visual immersion of Augmented reality(that could have really boosted what is already an immersive experience in Ingress) So being able to see Pokemon roaming around, catch them, use them in battle against anyone using the app, trade with real people anywhere is just too exciting.

Catching pokémon in real life? Nintendo + mobile games?

That's not the same thing.

They most likely do, doesn't change the fact that 3rd versions should be quick to make. If the team assigned to it is taking 2-3 years then it had better be a very small team or they all deserve to get sacked for slacking off.

Not true at all. They just put a lot into the third versions. 2 years is still half the time, since new generation games take like 3.5-4 years.

finally get to see their first mobile game.?

Shuffle is out on Android and Ios for a while now.

That trailer looked awesome tho, I can't stand mobile gaming (on phones I mean, I'm on the Vita/pspgo all day) but yeah actually hyped for that. Will be keeping a very close eye on that as it developes.
