Forums - Gaming - Former Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield advocates for a "pansexual Spider-Man"

I agree with Stan. Don't mess with whats established, but feel free to add new suff.

They should have given it a shot if he still played Spiderman cause that would have been hot. Enough with the helpless ladies and straight love interests, they're so dull.

I don't see why Peter Parker shouldn't be pansexual. Also, Moby Dick should be a cat.

And why shouldn't Batman be a robot alien? The time is now. Change someone else's creation to be what I think it should be.

Was this supposed to be a bad idea?

Well, if that was your intention, it failed horribly! I want robot alien super-powered Batman!

Why? Because that wouldn't be BatMAN, it would be more like BatBOT. :p

Iceman thing?

While they put other characters into other character's mantles (Female Thor, Black Cap A etc), the actual characters, Thor Odinson and Steve Rogers, haven't changed at all (personality wise). Iceman was outted recently. But it wasn't Iceman we've read about for the last 50 years, it was his younger self brought from the future. Which in turn means the older one is outted according to some people. The story was horribly done as a coming out story (not kidding 2 pages with a telepath) and has basically retconned Iceman's 50 years of characterisation.

They also retconned Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver recently, Magneto isn't their father.

That made absolutely no sense...

I'm pretty sure the Scarlet Witch Quicksilver thing is to differentiate is because of the thing about marvsl rewriting it's characters because of the movies thing.

I agree with Stan lee on this one, messing with existing characters isn't cool. I'd much rather see them create new interesting characters and stories for these themes than force it on existing established characters.

Leave the gender and race etc. swapping for the fan fiction marvel. You’re supposed to be the ones creating the new characters/content and expanding the marvel universe not the other way round.

Yes, it did indeed. The thing was that Marvel actually published a press release too (I think) and just said 'Iceman is out'. or whatever, ignoring the actual plot line of the O5 X-men coming to the future, Jean Grey getting her TP too early and prying into Iceman's mind and outing him. All very odd.

Yes... the movies thing. As an X-men fan, it makes me sad.

Hmm, pie.

No. Fucking no. Create new characters with new character traits, don't try to force them on other characters.

Both of them are right in a sense.

I'm now filled with determination.
