If MGS5 did 60fps with better phyics/interactive environment, than I would be impressed. There is not much happening within the game like Batman or The Witcher 3 either,so achieving 60fps is not something special.

There's literally nothing the physics you describe add to the gameplay. Seeing grass move realistically out of the way when you walk by does jack shit to the gameplay and in every occasion 60fps is superior. Both Batman and TW3 would have been better games with 60fps and a less interactive environment.

No,you are wrong.Physics play a huge role in game play and enemies should see the bushes and other objects moving when Boss makes contact with them.It would make the stealth more realistic and watching enemy movement more of a necessity so you have to sneak around carefully in order not to be detected.60fps does zero for the game play as it plays just like any other third person shooter, but slower.MGS has its share of other problems though like the game save bug and as mentioned by other it has pop ins.Your comments are an overraction with no solid basis behind them.

TW3 would have been better at 30fps too. Doesn't matter if it's 30 or 60, as long as it's stable. Yet without Parkinson's forest TW3 would have lost a lot of it's atmosphere.

Exactly. My biggest issue with TW3 is that the framerate is not stable on the PS4,but I love how things move in the environment even though trees bend a little too much lol. There is no excuse for thing int he world to not have physics or reactict to player movment. What is this the PS1?Batman is the most technically impressive game so far IMO.

As in enough settling for less. Open world isn't even an excuse anymore. MGSV is a beautiful looking game that runs at a near flawless 60fps on next generation systems and is an open world. This stupid notion that we're sacrificing anything for a game to run the way it should anymore is moot now. It's even 1080p on the PS4, for Pete's sake. I didn't accept 30fps bullshit last generation, but this makes it explicitely unacceptable.

From a technical POV, MGSV should set the standard for all gen 8 games going forward. I said Bloodborne was the first truly next gen game. I was wrong. MGSV is. Open world. 60fps. Console. Raise your standards, guys. All games could play like this now. Don't settle for less.

Have you played Bloodborne? its graphics are far supirior to MGS5, i own both MGS5 and Bloodborne on PS4. Both games look amazing for what they were aiming for but i have to say the secrafice is worth for Bloodborne.

Yes, 1070p  60fps should ne à priority for more titles, whatever the sacrifices to be made!!

Latest Review from Digitalspy,

''Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is a masterpiece, the lasting legacy of series creator Hideo Kojima's remarkable team signing off with its greatest achievement.''

''Which is what makes Metal Gear Solid so relevant today: its unwavering capacity to adapt and evolve. It's a game that understands everything about itself and how it works. It's the best stealth game ever made and feels like a game-changer for the medium as a whole - through its scope, the freedom it offers its players, and its deft structure.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is the apex of the series and a fitting way for Kojima et al to bow out: as one, as best, as Big Boss.''
