So maybe next year won't be as bad as most people imagined if Nintendo manages to release a new Zelda, SMTXFE and Pikmin 4 for Wii U. Hopefully Wii U can retire with a bang.

Wonderfull news! Pikmin is a really awesome franchise and the third one was gorgeous in all senses, can´t wait to see something of Pikmin 4, I hope is for WiiU, I don´t mind if its for NX too.

I doubt this will be part of Nintendo's Wii U successor (whether that's NX or something else). It wouldn't be that surprising to see it on Wii U some time next year, actually. Nintendo would already have had a lot of assets from Pikmin 3 that could potentially be used for the next game, and that's easier if it's being coded for the same machine.

I think it's for Wii U. It's only has been 2 years since Pikmin 3 and the game seems to be already done, so it must be the same engine as Pikmin 3, so the same platform.

If it is cross platform that will suck. Because it means it will basically be a port of a Wii U game and not show off any of the special abilities the NX might have. Keep it exclusively Wii U or exclusively NX please. Same for Zelda.

I don't want to buy an NX for a Zelda game developed on Wii U that must have been released at the latest this holiday season.

I dont want to either I am getting Zelda on Wii U regardless if it comes out on NX just like I got Twilight Princess on Gamecube

In other news, yay Pikmin 4!!!!!:D I loved Pikmin 2 and 3! This is awesome news!

I love this franchise, there's something remarkably charming about it. As a kid I was always fascinated by ants and insects (I suspect many kids are simply by virtue of being closer to the ground lol) and it's a lot of fun to basically be the queen ant directing her drones.

I'd almost be willing to wait for this to hit the NX though... I'm just really concerned that they're gonna feel rushed to release this console a little early and, given games take years to develop, it seems unlikely they'd have a robust launch lineup at that point.

What bugs me here is that the "Pikman team is always working on the next one"... Well wtf happened between 2 and 3? That wait was ridiculous haha
