Forums - Gaming - Have you ever broken a CURRENT gen control by dropping it?

I've dropped my Sixaxis a lot and it still works fine. (I usually drop it when it's all sweaty cause someone used it for a long time) When I only had my PS2, it was kept in a room with a carpet so nothing ever happened when I dropped the controller. Heck, the PS2 even got dropped a few times when it was on top of a coffee table and someone tripped over the cables going to the TV. The disc cover popped open and the Madden 06 disc went flying. I put it back in and the game resumed no problem though. :p

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

I broke my psp cause I dropped it down the stairs.

I broke my old gameboy cause I got pissed and hit it! haha

I'm back...

I dropped my Gamegear a few times back in the day and it didn't break, that thing was a brick. I have had N64 and Gamecube controllers stop working on me, from wear and tear. This gen I haven't broken any. The wiimote seems pretty resilient. I have stuck my wiimote into my ceiling fan more times than I can count. With the free wiimote covers from nintendo it'll probably last forever.

well recently my gamecube controller stopped working, some kids where using it and dropped it a bunch of times, now the c-stick doesn't work so well

But none of my current gen stuff has broken

Not once but my wireless ps2 controller got drenched in coffee and i then my dog started spazzing at it so i let it RIP in the garbage! I dropped my 360 controller tons and tons of times only 1 tiny scratch!

I have never broken a controller. For one, all my ish has been Nintendo quality sealed. For two, I take care of my ish.

However, my friend's kids have constantly had to purchase new controllers. Because they break them their parents usually only buy the 3rd party ish.
