Yup, the President signed every spending bill that passed his desk. Stuff like the war and the prescription drug benefit. It's these things that add trillions of dollars to debt.

In addition, the people he hired to monitor the economy fell asleep at the wheel and said nothing while the terrible lending practices were occuring.

The weak dollar is a good thing from my perspective, with region free games so cheap, importing from NA has never been better.

Keep the dollar weak guys, and support European gamers with limited budgets!

And, Bush has not only affected the US and world economies in several ways (good posts by stof and Desroko ^^), but there are a number of other ways that Bush has been horrible for the people of the US and the world.  Example, the HUGE debt from the unnecesary Iraq war is not the only way that the Iraq war is reckoned wrong - if you believe in human rights while we are still alive on this puny imperfect planet before Bush and the conservatives of every nation manage to bomb us all right to "heaven" (make us worm-food).  

Jesus would denounce the Iraq war.

The unnecessary war in a Iraq Huge deficit
A Laissez-faire attitude about the economy and letting everything handle itself instead of some regulation and enforcement to make sure that companies behave and don't cut corners screwing everyone for profits
Not making the huge trade deficit a priority and letting the world get flooded with more and more dollars bringing the value lower and lower
The devaluing US dollar and trillions spend in Iraq do have an impact on the world economy
