Square Enix today announced that its second major MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has reached more than 5 million registered users worldwide.

In February 2015, the company announced the 4 miilion mark, making this an increase of the user base by 25% within nearly 6 months. The current numbers do not include the accounts registered for trial versions of the game. On the other hand, the 4 milllion do not reflect the amount of users, who are actually playing the game.

This is nonetheless great news for the devoted development team, as well. Naoki Yoshida and his colleagues celebrate the second anniversary of A Ream Reborn tonight with a 14-hour livestream, including a digest for the 3.1 patch.

The show starts at 8:00 p.m. PDT, and Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XXIV airs soon after at 9:30 p.m. PDT. You can follow the livestream via YouTube and Twitch.

 

I believe a lot of WoW players have jump ship. What do you think? One thing for sure though, this game ain't going Free2Play at this rate.

I really think I screwed myself from buying the Complete Experience for PC outside my country, is there any way I can play it without the disc? .

As long as you've linked your purchase to your account once (which you have to do in order to play), you no longer need the disc to play. It'll authenticate from the login.

I registered the code in the box to SE's site, is that how it's authenticated? then after that, how do I download the game client for the Complete Experience?

You can download the client for free from their website. It authenicates with your Square Enix ID and password. As long as you use the same account to login as you registered your game, it'll pick up right away.

Well I made a europe account, but anyways, I already downloaded this, but everytime I login, it says that this account is not registered. Do you know why?
