Imo the market has spoken... 10 million is terrible for nintendo, most people don't want a screen on their controllers.
Just make it optional, forcing it again would be a huge mistake.

Personally, I like the whole second screen thing, but really they should determine what actual game developers/publishers are ok with since they will need to win them over in order for the next system to be a success.

The market spoke back then as well on the power glove, no real problem on the tab anyway tbh as it allows traditional play. It wasn't really the controller that's the U's problem it was Nintendo's overall handling of the platform itself.
If the LCD is so it can be a portable gaming device then all good (LCD on a dedicated controller is a pointless gimic). scale up or down, don't care as long as the games are good and graphics quality is decent.

Try asking a few random persons if they know what a wii u is.. Do the same thing for ps4.. the simple thing is that only a few even know about the wii u as Nintendo gave it a stupid name and failed its marketing so the market has not really had a chance to really show us if people want or don´t want a screen on their controllers.

Ya I don't know how many times I've had this conversation before
Coworker: U play games?
Me: Ya, I have a Wii U
Coworker: a what?????
Me: a Wii U.........
Coworker: U mean Wii????
Me: No......Wii U, the sequel to Wii
Coworker: What's the difference????
I've had that conversation with at least a half dozen people.
