Cause its harder to fap while playing than just watching

But probably due to personal preference and games do cost a lot more money than anime and there are quite a lot of eh worthy anime games that generally arent worth the price for a lot of people

True but a lot of these japanese games dropped in price like on ps3 there are ton sof cheap japanese games.

Yea but I don't think they care enough and maybe they don't have time considering how long animes take to finish and how many new animes comes out every season. I don't fully know since I like buying most anime games except for the usual Naruto and etc ones since they generally don't have enough plot to get me interested

I know that my friend generally likes playing western games on consoles/PC but watches anime cause he just doesn't care much for the anime games and he finds the gameplay pretty boring so *shrugs*

Because they maybe own those games in other consoles or are not fans of those types of games.

Mostly because of the japanese focus on mobile games and just plain bad games last gen. Meanwhile anime continues to be good, especially if you have been enjoying the same anime for the past 15 years.

I don't know really, maybe you happened to find some people like that, but I'm pretty sure that people who likes anime have played japanese games at some point. (unless you are strictely referring to anime-based games such as Naruto or Dragon Ball, and even those are fairly popular).

Also, I know people that never watch anime nor uses profile pictures related with it, yet they love stuff like final fantasy, zelda, dark souls and a long etc. Like everything in life, there's a wide range of tastes.

I was going to expand upon my answer, but you basically summed it up.

Dunno. I've always been quite the opposite, really. I have always liked Japanese games, Nintendo is still quality, and companies like Capcom, Konami, Hudson and Square USED to all make some of the best games ever made.

I would go so far as to say that most of my top favorite games of all time (SMB3, Mega Man 2, Super Castlevania IV, Street Fighter II, Kirby's Adventure, Adventure Island 2, Super Metroid, etc etc.) were pretty much entirely Japan-developed.

But as for Anime, I've never been hugely into it. I love Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki films, but I don't consider those conventional "anime" really. I also love some of Miyazaki's earlier work, like Lupin the Third and Future Boy Conan (that especially being an excellent show). The really early Voltron stuff was also decent. The first Vampire Hunter D movie I really liked. And even though I'm not really a BIG fan, Dragonball and DBZ have a certain charm to them.

As far as modern anime goes, Fullmetal Alchemist is an excellent show. I prefer the first over the (more accurate to the manga) second, though they're both good. I also dug the first season of Spice & Wolf when I was for some reason compelled to check it out. Too bad the second season was dull and pointless, and it appears they'll never actually finish the series.

Outside of that stuff I've mentioned though, I'm just really not that much of a fan of anime in general. A majority of the shows I've watched, I didn't or couldn't' really get into, even though I DO, being a big fan of animation, really respect and appreciate them for keeping traditional cell animation alive and kicking.

I have no idea why either are popular...
Japanese games are quite popular on VGC for some reason.

Ha ha!

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

There is a significant difference between media you can interact with, and media you simply watch with your eyes,

That's my theory.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
