I think now is worth it.
I just wished that everything came on the disk, the memory on my console is going low, not enough to make me buy a hard disk, but faster that I would like to.

it is really worth $60 for those who are waiting for more content before playing. Learning curve is not that hard on turf wars, the game is easy to comprehend even for the casual gamers who aren't really into shooters. The ranked battle is a little bit tough if you are always on the losing side.
And the splatfest is a blast which occurs few weeks/a month in between for now.
I haven't played a ton of ranked battles on different modes hence I can provide in depth details about it.
Overall, I'm good with the $60 purchase since day 1.

Almost all content is on disk.
Oh please people. Day 1 it was only Turf War and Singleplayer. It would've been forgotten in less than a week had it not been for updates. I'd say after Tower Control was added it was worth it, and after matchmaking it became a must-have.
Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

It is worth full price for those who make it worth full price. Allowing half the content to be played at launch (along with the other shortcomings of the game), really isn't worth full price for me. I have yet to get the game myself though (played friends version), but that's just my 2 cents
If by full price you mean $60, definitely not. The single player mode is adequate but nothing special and the online play, while fun, doesn't have enough maps or options (such as voice chat). What's there is extremely cute and polished, but this package would be better as a $30 download, not a $60 packaged game.

12 maps, more than 20 weapons and 100 pieces of gear, 4 online modes and the option to make team with 2 or 4 friends against other teams and private lobbies with 2 - 8 people with customizable battles is not enough? Just because voice chat? I don´t think so.

There is nothing in this game that indicates it needs to be $30 downloadable game, this is in every way AAA game (except of lack of some content on launch). Also Splatoon players and sales of game proves this.
Yes, it is, specially after the latest update. Lots of content and modes of online play
I just wanted the single player campaign to be a little longer....... but even so, the game is a blast.

The number of players doesn't prove that a $60 price point is appropriate, considering many players (from my own experience) are not in the USA. For what it's worth, European countries received this game at lower prices than the USA: http://nintendoenthusiast.com/news/splatoon-costs-just-35-in-europe. I'd be interested in knowing the breakdown in sales numbers vs unit pricing.
