I really liked that game. The controls were a bit weird when on the ground, but I got used to it.

It's really just another Star Fox game...

Only in the flying sections. The style of the rest of the game would work well with the starfox ip but there's really no starfox like it.

Great game, fun and memorable characters but the controls are horrible, some of the worst I have ever experienced

Everytime you talk about Star Fox I get the feeling that you know absolutely nothing about it tbh. 

This game even started out as a Star Fox game.
It's not Kid Icarus.

Next 3ds purchase for me, i'm not into rail shooters really but i only see praise everywhere for this game, i really need to try it for myself.

I loved it, myself. The multi-arc story was enjoyable, and the characters were fun to listen to. I played the original game and a bit of the Game Boy sequel...but I wasn't exactly attached to the characters/universe in either of those cases, so the narrative only improved in my eyes. The controls weren't as bad for me as a lot people claimed they were...but I'm guessing that's something that varies from person to person.

I thought it was a fun game that I kept wanting to play more and more of...definitely can tell it was developed by the same group behind Smash Bros.

Easily my favorite non-RPG game on the 3DS console and the most content full non-Smash Bros game you will find on a Nintendo console period.

There is legitimate beef with the controls but I got used to them and the rest of the game from the story to the online multiplayer to all the other features make it a classic game. A shame Nintendo doesn't seem intent on try to spread the brand.
