For now I'm too consumed by creating levels and trying to keep up with the ones posted here. Maybe in a week or so things will settle down a bit to start a challenge.

My new master piece is ready :)
"We must peform a Quirkafleeg" D16D-0000-0054-A83D Updated: CBA0-0000-005A-3440
Yep that's spelled correctly, that's how it appeared in Jet Set Willy 2. I converted 25 rooms of this timeless classic to a multiple path NSMBU level, starting at the conservatory roof and ending in the garden. There were some differences to over come, Mario can jump further, higher, steer in the air and has no fall damage, yet only has 1 life. I hope I succeeded in making it a fun challenge for Mario, Observe the movement patterns and look out for the power ups when you need help. It's something pretty different from the majority of the levels.

I also updated Haunted Cathedral 4F24-0000-0051-0FDC
It was meant to be easier than the other levels I made yet sits at the lowest percentage so I remastered it :) Now in NSMBU style (thus wall jumping and picking up things) and made it a bit more easy overall.

Btw Is there a way to get screenshots off the WiiU? I finally figured out how to take one but the only options are to make a post or a drawing?

I get screenshots by accessing Miiverse while in game, then selecting to save it to the album.  I log into Miiverse on my PC and go to my screenshots and right click it to get the URL.

Thanks, the hard part was figuring out my Nintendo Network ID at 2AM.

Weird link but it works!

Anyway, I uploaded 2 new stages

Mario's crazy castle crashing. F23B-0000-0043-AA7C

Thought this one was rather good if I may say so myself. Easily my new favorite self made level, it has some nice ideas. NSMBU castle. Pretty large level but not crazy difficult and fun to play so shouldn't be too frustrating. Looks pretty cool with 2 halves, 2 floors and a roof. Some 1 ups are hidden and you can beat the boss in 3 different ways.

Airship Armada 196E-0000-0042-3435

SMB3 airship level. Auto scroll level where you navigate a small fleet of ships (several small and a big one). 2 different paths. Created this with the aim to make an aesthetically good looking fleet but it turned out to be pretty fun to play as well.

Great levels, although I couldn't finish them. I need some checkpoints. I starred them anyway, try again later. Apologies for bringing the clear percentage way down lol. I make it to the second ship only 1 out of 10 tries, then it gets a little easier. Jumping on moving cannon balls is tricky.

Lots of great levels in here. 3am again already, gamepad is flashing. Bookmarking page 31 to continue from (although I probably missed some earlier ones, hard to keep track)

To be honest I died a lot playing your levels as well (though I did finish them). I think we don't always realize how challenging our levels can be, although challenge isn''t necesarilly bad of course  .I played the original version of that Cathedral  (just read you updated it) and that ruthm level. Especially that rythm level you made was amazing. I even downloaded it which I rarely do!

Thanks, I downloaded airship armada as well to try again later. It's hard to find a good balance between difficulty and fun. Checkpoints would help a lot. I was thinking about adding conveyers belts along the bottom of an autoscrolling levels with doors that lead you back to a checkpoint. Ofcourse that only works for falling off.  Or add a hidden shortcut at the beginning. Once you get to the checkpoint, you see a door there and where it leeds back too. The other at the bottom of a pit near the start. Yet the chance if people finding it by accident is very high.

For my new level I've added a decent amount of shrooms, especially around the second part. And I play tested it in the middle of the night, that's a good way to find bottlenecks :) So this time I lowered the difficulty before launching. The problem is, in most levels a lot depends on knowing what to expect. Which makes it a lot easier for the maker than anyone seeing it for the first time.

I made some changes to my last level, I think it's better. It's mostly the same, but some changes were made. Tell me what you guys think, which one is better?

I just drew some designs on paper on a possible multi boss level based on Cave Story. I can't wait to actually buy this game and design it from there!

Yes. I completed my first level.

Thwomp's Fortress Break-in. Nothing too difficult, it's a quite realistic level without much surprises. Gotta get the basics down before you start bringing those firebreatging Mega-Goombas in Clowncars !

I'll go play some of your levels now .

Got the game Friday. Spent my entire weekend making three levels lol. Just finished my first real one. I think I got the hang on how things works (koopas and goombas atleast).

Fresh out the gate boys.

A Good Course.
