Ok so Capcom is snubbing the Wii U again with a remaster that could easily be played on the 3DS.

Not cool.

I really hope that it's more of a horror survival game than a TPS with slight bits horror to it. RE4 and the games after lost touch with the horror survival aspect and the whole parasyte thing is became ridiculous fast. To be fair, I like the gameplay and shooting mechanics in RE4 but it needs to bring back the horror and survival.

I agree. I think it would take away the survival horror aspects out of the game if they did that.

My fav in the RE series, by some measure. This could be good news, let's just hope they avoid the AI from RE5 and the quick time events from RE6.

High expectations for this one, was by far the best setting for me! It'd be cool for them to take a Code Veronica approach, full 3D environments, but fixed perspective camera.

Though maybe add a bit of panning.

i hope RE3 follows soon, it is my favorite one.

Aaaaand i can't wait to see another Remake. Resident Evil 3!

I really enjoyed RE2. I've played some RE remaster and it's pretty good, but I liked RE2 a lot. I played RE3 first, then went back to RE2. I can't really pick between them. I prefer if they keep the gameplay and just make tweaks. The RE5 over the shoulder thing is fine, but I don't think it is necessarily an improvement on the classic RE controls, it's just different.

Why wouldn't they go Wii U if it's going to be multiplatform? A remake like this doesn't need to have the highest console graphics, so the graphics output of Wii U should be enough. Build the game for console so that it can be scaled to 720p/30 on Wii U and 1080p/60 on PS4bone. Wii U is >50% of the Japan install base right now. Sure, it will sell much better globally on Xb one, but a Wii U release will do decent numbers thanks to the Japanese market.

Or a launch title for NX. This won't be coming before 2017 I would think.
