See im glad that I played both (Witcher 3 and Splatoon) for MANY hours.

I was super hyped for witcher3. Great marketing, great world, good story. Its all in all a very good game. It was a must buy for me many month before release.

Splatoon on the other hand, to be honest i had no plans to purchase it before the global testfire demo. Videos just dont show what the game really is about.

So now both games are out for >2 month, i played both for alot hours and i can tell you: splatoon is better.

Witcher 3 does look alot better in videos, had way better marketing, way more hype and so on. Splatoon does look even a bit uninteresting if you do only see it.

But dont build your opinion about the game if you havnt played it for at least some hours.

If I remember right splatoon and witcher 3 were released in the same week (just few days between). Im at 120 hours splatoon and 50 hours witcher 3 so far. I didnt finisher everything in witcher 3 (story is done but still alot quests and ? need to be done) and splatoon is a game you cant really finish (because multplayer). Im still playing alot more splatoon per week as witcher 3. The game is way more fun.

Like 10 times more than any AAA game this generation

your argument is pretty invalid scince i own a ps4 and a wiiU so my opinion is one of the mostly not biased on this forums. I dont even care for many nintendo franchsises (smash, pikmen, star fox, xenoblade).

Still, splatoon is by far the best game this gen so far. And i played alot ps4 and wii u. 

Nothing  biased/fanboy or anything.

what people that never played splatoon dont understand: The game feels nothing like "painting the map".

Its about contain territory.

so it's a different take on your standard domination multiplayer mode. splatoon is just for people that don't like bro shooters,nothing more. I have nothing against splatoon and I'm sure it's a fun game,but to call it innovative is just laugable to me. if you enjoy the game that much,then more power to you. 

I concur. It is between that and Elite Dangerous for me.

Simplifying Splatoon like that shows that you have absolutely no idea how it plays. But, hey, freedom of speech XDD

This gen is still early and far from over (except for the Wii U).
