That's not my point.

I'm not saying there are people that have played Splatoon and are downplaying it. I'm saying there are people that like Splatoon and, in defense of it, are downplaying other games. It's not right either way.


Well at least I didnt talked/rated a single game i never played in this thread/forum.

I actually played Splatoon and witcher 3 (and some more titles). So i cant tell what game i think was the best. Its not downplaying witcher 3 if i say "i like splatoon more".

Bloodborne got outsold by Splatoon despite the fact that the Wii U userbase will be 8-10 times smaller when this gen is over.

Yeah, it's quite clear that Bloodborne isn't on the same level at all.

So sales are what you want?
Better drop the idea that Splatoon in even a contender for the GOTG so.

Tell me one new IP that could sell this well on a userbase of 10 million?

It's the big gap in userbases that I'm refering to.

Oh wow are you serious about that? If yes it doesnt make any sense to talk with you about this anymore, scince we both have extremly different opinions about how to build up an opinion.

So IGN and co dont need to play the games anymore? They can just give us a number 1-10? Just on their opinions about how they liked videos on youtube?

He never played splatoon so just ignore it. He does know that bloodborne is better then splatoon without playing it because of ... reasons..!!!!!

 

I (played both) cant decide that splatoon is better though, also because of..reasons!!! :D

My original post already talked about the gap in userbases. Care to read it before you quote me.

Splatoon's legacy as a franchise will be far bigger than Bloodborne.

VG chartz is no accurate or up to date.

Bloodborne is at 1,3 mio copies. Also it got released 2 month before splatoon.

Splatoon already was above 1,6 mio copies by end of july.

Not necessarily true, for example you may know Splatoon is a shooter about spreading ink but it doesn't mean you'll fully realize the concept, it's like with Smash Bros. many fighting game fan outside of it don't understand the appeal even though the may know what it's about. Being informed and fully realizing a concept aren't the same, I bet you many people here wouldn't be able to fully realize how good W101 is by just watching videos and reading about it, when you play it you realize it's the most technical action game around.

You set a userbase number, the Wii U, then use it to say that with that userbase no game sold better, lol, keep cherry picking dude.

And now you are even have a crystal ball! I didn't knew Splatoon franchise, that don't even exist yet, was outselling Bloodborne franchise, I'm sorry, should have checked my crystal ball as well.

I think you should look up the word franchise. I also never said you started it, I said you should read what I say before you decide to quote me (case in point...).

What Vita game do you expect to sell over 3 million? That's the one console with a similar userbase.

As for source? It's called Nintendo.

And yes, it's quite a safe bet that Splatoon will get sequels.

If VGChartz is not accurate, which it is not indeed, why are you using the 1.3M data they have here while using a bigger data for Splatoon?
Where is the updated Bloodborne data to the same date as Splatoon, with factual sources, proving Splatoon was ahead of Bloodborne in a past date?


bloodborne had a strong first week but no long legs. Mostly because almost only dark souls fans where interested in the game.

 

Splatoon does have long legs, is still tracked with more then 100k sold units/week on vgchartz.

It does 100% outsold bloodborne already.
