I'm not sure they will. Maybe in the next BF. As of now they seem hellbent on only doing the old stuff. Personally I love the prequels and thought the Clone Wars era troops were much better than the OG era troopers in Battlefront 2 (Destroyer Droids and machine gun clones FTW). But since the games are probably being developed by 90yr olds who hate the prequels I don't think we'll see Clone Wars era stuff anytime soon

Isn't it more likely they'll add new factions based on the two warring sides of Episodes 7-9?

The stormtroopers look different. And when you get right down to it, aren't clone troopers just different-looking stormtroopers as well? The two eras in Battlefront 2 did have some differing classes that made them unique, but it's not like you can't apply the same practice to this later era. Give the First Order a flametrooper, etc.

stormtrooper are drafted men, not clones, cloning was outlawed after the empire formed.
