Forums - Microsoft - In its only two shows of the year, MS didn't make any significant new game announcements?

I like how Microsoft focuses on games that are coming soon and not games years away. Save them for when they are close to release.

You'll want to check that one again.  You're 12 months out.

And you're not really addressing what I'm saying.  If you're going to quote me, at least look at what I've posted.

I fixed this case... sorry.

I read what you posted... you say Sony is announcing games years before it be release... that is a false statement.

I showed to you that with exception of Uncharted (becaiuse it was delayed) no other game took years to be releases... so you are wrong here my dear friend.

And it was always like that.

In PS3 age the games showed at E3 2007 were to be released in 2008.
In PS2 age the games showed at E3 2000 were to be released in 2001.
In PS1 age the games showed at E3 1995 were to be released in 1996.

Nothing changed in this game.

The games releases in less than 2 years.

You are comparing Sony with MS with the games like QB that was announced at May 2013 to be released maybe in 2016... that what your post is talking about.

Uncharted 4 will be released before March 2016... that is less than 2 years and 3 months after the announce... that is why it was delayed and it is the only exception that crossed 2 years in the Sony's side.

Next year (E3 2016) Sony will show the games to be released in 2017.

So you can't put the bad planning of the others companies in the Sony's back.

What I am talking about is Sony causing a big fuss about Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III in 2014, knowing full well that they were barely even playable at that point.  They're not releasing in 2015.  I doubt they're releasing in 2016.

Then again this year - Shenmue 3 isn't coming to 2017, and that was only a "maybe" if the game got funded on Kickstarter.  Who knows when Final Fantasy VII Remake will come.

I don't blame them for Uncharted.  The game has clearly had development problems which delayed it a long way from when it was first shown.  But that's the difference here.  Sony can highlight something like Dead Island 2, a third party game with a clear development schedule that gets blitzed along the way (i.e. Yager being dropped) which delays the game.  That's a long way removed from showing something they know isn't releasing for a long, long time.

Yes, it's not first party, but that doesn't change the fact that many of these games were the centrepieces of their respective conferences, just like something like Tomb Raider can be for Microsoft.

I guess you need to change Sony by Square-Enix.

Sony make partnership and these partners wants to show their games... Sony given them some minutes in the conference to they show the games... that is not a Sony fault a game not in their hands to be announced years before release.

I think you are getting confused how the industry works here... it was like the PS4 reveal where SE just go to say "Please be exited". Sony needed them and givem them the minutes to show stuffs... they well did what they did with with the time.

You can't make a partner unhappy just because you don't like what they will show because Sony needs these partners.

So blame Sony for what is in their hands... first-party games... not what is out of their hands.

BTW you made me remeber Deep Down... maybe something showed at TGS? Capcom please get the shit right.

gears is pretty significant even if the demo looked bad.

Well, they did announce some games. They are significant in that they give XBO gamers more to play, which is good (although I see some of those not doing too well.) Of course, they are also insignificant in the fact that they aren't exactly megatons that will sway many people to buy an XBO, and aren't going to change anything about how this gen plays out.

Ratchet & Clank announced E3 2015 (2+ months)

I think he already had the list and was just looking for a chance to post it.  Don't take that away from him.

No.

Took me about 30 minutes to get all data this morning to reply to him... you see the bolded Sony word? It was because I planned to do a Microsoft and Nintendo one but I wasted so much time with Sony only that I give up due time issues (I needed to start to work).

But I showed his comments was really unfair with Sony... that was my point... if he was unfair with MS or Nintendo I don't know because I really didn't have time to check.

The content of their E3 presentations is completely in their hands.

Other than that, I really don't agree with you on anything really.  I know you'll defend Sony to the death and I just don't agree with you on this.  I love them, they're my favourite first party, but I think they've handled announcements at conferences extremely poorly.

Welcome to the present game industry where you can show games years in advance so you don't have to show a new game every year.

and people critize nintendo for only showing games that come in the nearest future. SMH
