You know, similar to what y-Koron does for Japan 1st day sales. I believe US numbers are more interesting to discuss anyways.

Also a US preliminary chart would be awesome, just like what TheSource does for Japan.

pretty much impossible to get, the first day numbers of japan come from sinobi, not from vgchartz. Trackers in countries outside of Japan dont' release as much information.

What john said about the 1st day and the prelim is only possible because TheSource gets some info from a single retailer very early (I think). I'm guessing no such retailer exists in the US of A and as such prelim doesn't occur.

I'm sorry but doesn't VGChartz get their info straight from the small retailers? They base their numbers on small samples just like they do in Japan. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's perfectly doable.

 Yes but what I am talking about is the time when they receive their data. For prelim data the information must arrive extremely fast, if they don't get the data until a week later then no prelim data could be released.
