This isnt a fanboy post or an argument thread but an opinion on what i think has happened since E3.

Sony are going to be absent for a press conference at Gamescon, one of the worlds biggest gaming events in the world. From what i am gathering, did Sony use all there ammo at E3 to keep on top of MS's lineup at 2015s E3 showing?

Prior to E3, MS was boasting about there *Best Xbox Lineup in History* and it wasnt somthing that would have been unnotice by MS's competitors like Sony and Nintendo. Was that a scare tactic? Did Sony panic, and instead they split there E3 and Gamescon lineup into one. Did they announce all there suprises at E3 to try to overshadow Xbox's lineup? It feels is if they have. Games like FF7 and Shemue 3 any many others (Based off there none existed release dates) that these show winning games should have been Gamecons titles atleast.

I know Gamescon is not that far from E3 but seems as if Sony dont have anything to talk about apart from there lineup they already showcased at E3.

Is Playstation having trouble keeping up with Xbox, considering Phil just announced that 2016 is all about 1st party games next year which is a big statement considering 2015 has a ton of 1st party games releasing soon. To overshadow 2015s lineup of Xbox's 1st party titles is a huge task considering its there biggest lineup in Xbox history, like they said.

Sure Playstation have Paris and PSX shows, however Gamescon is one of the biggest (even bigger then Paris and PSX) and to not have a press conference tells me theres more to it then just "they cant be bothered" By the time Paris and PSX hit, they will surely have some news to tell, however with there new devices like Morpheus, its going to be eating up alot of there 1st party companies time and resources. Can PS4 manage to keep up with Xbox's list of games that MS are focusing only on games, or are we missing something and PS have alot more then we realise.

Remember i am talking about 1st and 2nd party games, not indies, not 3rd party games, or PC ports.

What ammo? A lot of their 1st party studios still haven't revealed their games so they still have those left to show. Also, just because they don't have a press conference doesn't mean they aren't on the show floor. Looking at the floor plans, it's clear that they still have a big presence at Gamescom.

I just think they aren't ready to show any of their 1st party games so they're skipping a conference. Besides, last year was almost an indie showcase so I don't think it's a big deal they're missing it.

No.

Basically PS4 is selling well without sony haveing used ANY ammo yet.

Aren't Sony attending the Paris show instead this year? There are quite a few different shows in Europe.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

This is kinda a pointless thread honestly. They have ammo. Its just going to Paris Games Week instead. Its been common knowledge that they were doing that instead of Gamescon this year.

yes, sony have absolutely nothing to show. they cant keep up with MS, at all.

This is cringe worthy.

What?...lol no. Did GT7, GoW4, Sony Bends and Quantic Dreams game and Japan Studios game(s) get announced at E3 and I missed it?

Since when does the size of the event have anything to do with the attention the press conference will receive? By that logic the PSX would've been a disaster because there was no "big event like Gamescom" backing it up.
