| Apparently the demo that was seen at E3 2015 was already completed on the PS3 by July 2010, but once they shifted their focus to PS4, they ported the demo to the new hardware and showed it at E3 2015. They also had to create a new engine for the game on the PS4. |
had, not have
game will come out in 2016

Quite right. MGS2 on the PS2 still impresses me today for a game made on 15 year old hardware. Alot of people say the Dreamcast and Gamecube were superior graphically to the PS2 but I cannot imagine either running MGS2 really... Twin Snakes ran like absolute crap on the Gamecube and had much simpler environments.
A 2016 release still seems likely. Hopefully Sony shows a new trailer with the updated engine soon.

Im a Sony fanboy but after the fairly bland 2015(exclusives-wise), Sony would want to put out TLG in 2016 to make up for it. Yes Bloodborne fucken rocks but apart from that there is not much for this year sadly. No Man's Sky is probably 2016 too. To be fair though, Sony's 2016 does look awesome(Street Fighter V, Horizon, supposedly TLG, Uncharted, R&C etc).

Link? I sure hope he's lying. If this is true then critics will tear the game apart. |
What about the visual style? Personally, I enjoy it. But there was a lot of reaction on social media where people were saying, when you look at Horizon versus The Last Guardian, it seems very much like a new-gen game versus a PS3-era game. So are the visuals going to get an upgrade?
No, that's the vision for the project. The vision hasn't changed since the PS3 era. It's just that we couldn't achieve that on PS3. [Fumito] Ueda-san doesn't view the need for any changes.

Do you think this will have an effect on over all GFX or do you think its just a stability thing? IMO this is bad news for the release window if they are saying the're gonna rebuild the game in this new engine and were only able to show old stuff at E3. Discuss |
Your title is wrong, in the article it never says about a future use, because they are already using that ¨PS4¨engine. The graphics wont get better, as Yoshida said in a previous interview.

The demo they showed is not running on PS3 but rather it was something that had already been completed on PS3 before and now ported to the PS4 engine, and not something that was built specifically for the PS4 version of the game. |
This :)

Nothing in the title is incorrect.
