I would call that first place for the Vikings because they've won more games in the division, but I know that Americans count in their own way.
The Vikings have been one of the dark horses before this season started, so it's not that shocking that they are legit playoff contenders. Plus the first half of their schedule turned out to be one of the easiest in the league because so many of those teams disappointed (Chargers, Chiefs, Lions twice) or weren't good to begin with (Bears, 49ers). Their other two games were against the Broncos and Rams, so as of today, that leaves a grand total of one team that has a positive record.

Eh, they have not faced the Packers yet. And the Packers have only had 1 game in the division (one of three teams to have 1 game in fact), so I hardly call that being ahead.
