Im a long time gamer, and I am only 15, Ive been playing games since I was 4, I had a SNES, and I thought super mario rpg had the best looking art Ive ever seen in my eyes, then I bought the N64 when I was I believe I was 6 at the time, first game was mario 64, the graphics were amazing(today they look wack), anyhow Banjo kazooie was my next game after mario party, BK was in my opinion and still is the best game series ever created.
Then I got a gamecube, first game mario sunshine I was about 9 years old when I bought it, I was casual- hardcore wanabe, I beat every single game, and love the DBZ series, I even bought that stupid SAGAS game worst DBZ game ever.
Then after playing pokemon for my whole life, I turned 13.. this was the interesting part, I was looking into the no longer nintendo revolution. Now named the wii, I was thinking about buying it, though I was also thinking about getting my first playstation console, I had a DS when I was 12, and it was ok, but when I got my psp I barely touched my last nintendo purchase. PSP was amazing, and got me into hardcore gaming further, then during that time it was a time of change.
The ps3 was released, and I wanted one for the sole reason it could play every single playstation game known to man, I never had a PS console until the psp. Also the ps store features were intersting, and the final thing that pushed be were those epic play b3yond ads. It was over $1200, and I wanted my dad to buy it for christmas at gamestop, but he said it was too much. The problem was you couldnt find a ps3 in stores during the holidays.
Finally gamestop had it for s low at 900 buks, with 4 games including my first ever FPS resistance fall of man. I bought it and about 3 days later it arrived. Opening it I was quite happy. Then throughout christmas I played it, and the wii was a distant memory.
The only thing that stopped me from getting it was vgchartz.
I first found the site through the myspace PS blog, it was around the time europe had seen the release of the PS3, I then decided to join the forums 3 months afterwards. During and before I joined vgchartz I always wanted to return and buy the wii later on, I wasnt completely sony yet, I decided to save up until I had $250 buks to buy a wii. When I joined vgchartz there were alot of I hate PS3 threads, I found in youtube about the "wii60" term. This was the main reason I didnt want a wii. Fanboys basicly clouded my decision into making a purchase towards the wii.
Months passed on, and I finished resistance, I was amazed, and the online was very impressive. I started looking into shooters, and decided to leave my love for platformers behing. Pokemon diamond was the last DS game I bought.
Banned for an entire month, because a new guy known as soriku came out of nowhere and destroyed me in posts, I thought having over 5000 more posts than him would make it impossble for him to pass me. So I did what anyone else would do, post alot. But my posts werent as intellegent as another users. Zackblue, he was the poster I wanted to be. Which is wierd since I am him. Just the problem was that I wanted the site to improve beyond what it is currently.
So I was banned, 35 days later I revealed I was zackblue, and as expected the mods werent suprised. But enough about vgchartz.
The orange box was and may be the last game I ever buy for the PS3..in 2007.
