Wii's what happened to all the Wiis its amazing I still can not beleive that supply has not been increase in the run up to Christmas, I check out Gamestation they have now been sold out there for two week, Game still have them but I saw some one buying one today, just had some friends text me there Wii numbers so I know some other with Wii brought this week.

I chekout out argos where you can check the stock yourself, 42 360's 24 PS3 no Wii amazing toatally amazing, Nintendo are bound to lose out this Xmas if they dont incrase supplies as PS3 and Xbox 360 are looking like good alternatives because of the price point. If you cant find a Wii stuff it I will get and Xbox (saying that I know an increasing number of people with Wii and Xbox's)

Get it sorted Nintendo

Curious to hear about the first day sales of GH3 at your store. i am assuming it will sell out on the Wii and PS3 or come close, with very good sales for the 360 and ps2. Maybe you worked today and have the scoop for us?

Bod, is Z&W selling? What are your Shipments?

"..just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake"

dazmando, they are increasing shipments this holiday season. The thing is no matter how many they ship they sell all of them. In an interview I think it was reggie saying that they will have at least twice as many on the shelves this holiday as last holiday season, but then said he expects supply to remain slim. No one knows where the demand ends right now, you can expect to continue it to be hard to find for a while yet.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I have had tons of news in the last week and a half; many stories to tell. I will start with two.

1) Zack and Wiki has not been shipped to our location yet. We have recieved zero copies. Yes, this is unusual, but not unprecedented.

2) A guy came in today to buy an 80 GB PS3. He told me that he HAD an Xbox360 -- two of them, to be exact, both of which lasted him a month. After his second died, he decided to get the PS3 instead. While there may be other cases (almost certainly there are), this is the first time I've explicitly been told that someone chose to switch from the 360 to the PS3 because of hardware issues.

Guitar Hero sales today:

2 PS3
0 360
2 PS2
4 Wii

We have more Wii preorders than any other system. However, this could be explained by two things:

1) We're a toy store. More kids buy stuff here, and more kids buy Wii stuff.

2)  The Wii and PS3 are the only two systems that don't have a Guitar Hero yet, and the PS3 does have backwards compatability with the PS2 versions. Since our preorders are for the Game + Guitar, people who already have a Guitar and just want the game wouldn't preorder with us. For example, anyone who owns the 360 Guitar would be much less likely to preorder.

Still, the Wii is easily the most preordered version of Guitar Hero for us. I'll keep you up to date on sales in that regard.

A man came in a week ago and was looking for a Wii for his daughter... but he clearly wanted to find a way to fudge a PS3, as in "this is technically a present for my daughter, but I like the PS3 and I'd love for you to tell me I could give her a present while giving myself a present too."

We had the "Buy 2, get 1 Free" sale a week ago... and my goodness, did we sell a lot of Wii software. Obviously it increased our sales across the board, but the Wii increase was disproportionately enormous. As an example, we sold out of the following 360 software as a result of the sale:

1) The Orange Box

We sold out of the following Wii software as a result of the sale:

1) Metroid Prime
2) Mysims
3) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
4) Carnival Games
5) Mario Strikers Charged
6) Mario Party
7) Harry Potter
8) Dance Dance Revolution
9) MLB Power Pros

Among several others. I wished I had a camera to take a picture of our Wii section: it's a little difficult to describe how sold out we were of nearly all Wii software. I'd say about 1/3 or 1/4 of all our Wii games were sold out.

The 360 definitely surged for us at and right before Halo, but we're back down to approximately pre-Halo levels.  A bit more, I think, but it's difficult now to distinguish Halo-generated interest from Christmas-generated interest.

We recieved 39 Wiis this morning, Sunday, October 28th. We sold all of these Wiis within an hour of opening our store.

All three consoles -- the PS3, Wii and 360 -- have seen increased interest from consumers now. I'm getting considerably more questions about all three of them than I was a month ago.

Interest is picking up as the holiday season approaches.

I heard rumors that certain TRUs released a limited quantity of 40gb ps3s early today. Did anything like that happen at any stores in your area?

Do I have them? Yes.

Am I selling them yet? No.

Could I take one home myself? And cuddle it? That's plausible.

And what about the value pack and Arcade for 360 ?

Thanks for the updates Bod. I don't imagine you had many copies but great to hear MLB Power Pros sold out since it's an excellent game that Konami did everything in its power to kill its sales (probably not intentionally of course but who knows).
