It's not AAA, so it must be an indie, duh. Do kids these days learn nothing in school?

Gotta love the word "overrated". It's like "I don't like this game so everyone else MUST be wrong".
Nope. just a game that plenty of people loved. Even if you didn't like it at all, it doesn't make it overrated.
And all these arguments about how everyone "loves" it because it's indie or exclusive are beyond silly. Flower was an exclusive and so was The Unfinished Swan. I thought Flower was great, The Unfinished Swan kind of boring and Journey a masterpiece. But just because I didn't like The Unfinished Swan as much as reviewers did, it doesn't somehow mean that everyone else is wrong.

Journey was (and is) one of the best things that happened to the gaming industry. Along with games like The Last of Us it helps elevate the videogame media as a form of art like painting or music. And it is a masterpiece in what it does, moving and entertaining people while telling a deep story. A gem that everybody should play and enjoy.

I wouldn't personally give Journey as much praise as it receives, but yeah, i completely agree. A lot of people seem to think their personal experience is a universal quality indicator, thus "i don't like this" becomes "this is inherently overrated".

I'm not sure if you're sarcastic or else. MGSV: Ground Zero is not an AAA either, it's very short, but sure it isn't an indie game.
Indie games are the ones made by independent studios. So technically Journey is an indie game, supported by a big publisher. If Thatgamecompany couldn't finish the game it was them going bankrupt, as it nearly happened. As we have all seen how Kojima wasn't independent at all. :D

No, it isn't. Indie as in independent publishers. As in if Journey was an indie, it would be developed and published by thatgamecompany. Journey is just a PSN title, it's not a indie and not a AAA title.

I'd rather buy Onechanbara (that's why this thread was made) than buy this again, it gains nothing from a PS4 port.

So by your theory there are no indie games on PSN even though they are considered indie on other platforms.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

that's an oxymoron, as "indie" means independend from a big publisher, so a game that's supported by a big publisher is the opposite of "indie"

I'm not sure what you're even trying to get at. That made no sense.
