This game is massive!!!

Around the Network

I guess they guaranteed an 11/10 from ign with so many "ign first"s.

Thanks as always for the video update :)

They have to be gearing up for a release date me thinks... near the end of the year.

  • Hope they can fix up the spawn zone and the graphic glitches, it looks a little small with things popping in etc.
  • I wish you could walk faster also :)

Really excited to play this... I think it's going to be a race to the center of the universe...lol.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

Has anyone created an official thread for this game yet?

Feel free to check out my stream on twitch

These guys are geniuses, the scale of the Maths is mind boggling. Having said that, I can't believe no one else has tried anything like this before.

I just want to play this already!

The original Elite that dates back to 1984 give or take a couple years was procedurally generated but that was simple vector graphics and you couldn't land or flyover planets you could only fly in space and land at space stations. Was still amazing for the time. However running in as little as 32K you can imagine it was very limited.

There is a clear Elite influence in No Mans Sky although I've not heard that mentioned at all about the game.

it would seem to me this kind of confirms that if you dig up a planet that the planet won't be permanently changed. i find that kind of disappointing because i was kind of hoping i could play the game in an empire building way.

In this game, things only exist when you study them, even if its just due to observation.

Do you know what could be really fucked up?

Instead of breaking the barrier by adding humans to the game, create an AI that can learn how to adapt and never tell them that we exist. Release a few of those advanced bots and fill the rest of the universe with low level AI and lets see how it goes.

Still not sold on this game, it's beautiful and massive in scale but it looks like I'd be bored out of my mind playing it.

does this game have online multiplayers?

will be awesome if it does...

It will, but the galaxy is waaaay too big and you start in a new plannet alone, so you might never find your friends... or anyone.
