Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo publishing Devil's Third Q4 2015 in NA, standalone PC release coming

Ali_16x said:

The only reason a PC version of SFV happened was because of the high prices of PS4s in Brazil and other countries. They're like $4000 in Brazil, SF fans in brazil wouldn't be able to play it.

Also Devil's Third was announced a Wii U exclusive unlike SFV.

Valhalla Game Studio's still owns the trademark for Devil's Third, not Nintendo ...

And SEGA still owns Bayonetta.

sounds to me its probably more like the deal Sony has with Street Fighter 5 then the deal Nintendo had with Bayonetta 2.

Doesn't matter ...

Nintendo still allowed them to publish the multiplayer portion of Devil's Third for PC ...

I can't find it, I saw it on NeoGAF at the time, just forget that, might have been a rumor.

Yeah even if it was announced for PS3/360, it was still announced as a Wii U exclusive. Just saying.

Lol that lie.
And it was actually leaked for Steam in Feb on SteamDB.

It is indeed a lie going by the company's official press release ...

for a PC version of Bayonetta 2!?

I thought Nintendo owned the second game specifically.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Don't get too comfortable ...

That's still Nintendo's decision ...

Where are you getting that? Why would Nintendo allow them to publish on PC? Unless Nintendo is publishing the PC, it doesn't really matter, they aren't getting a cent for the PC version. I'm guessing it was never a Wii U exclusive, it was leaked for PC since last Feb.

They had a similar deal with Dragon Quest X with SE ...

Nintendo probably only paid console exclusivity or in Devil's Third's case having only the single player been exclusive on WII U ...
