Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo getting it together with Amiibo

Finally, no more paying 40$+ for an amiibo

Nintendo finally started reprtining some of the more "rare amiibo"

With this, prices on ebay dropped for some of the more rare amiibo, here are a few

Silver Mario Amiibo, 14$: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-Silver-Mario-amiibo-Limited-Edition-US-NA-Version-IN-HAND-/261951088401?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cfd806711

While people still aren't paying 13$ for every single amiibo, the situation is much better. These ones used to sell for 40-100$ EACH

So, what say you?

Yeah, even Silver Mario isn't rare anymore.

I was never going to collect all of these anyways but it's nice to know that prices will probably stay low from now on.

Hopefully Nintendo keeps this stock up and just drive all the resellers to quit raiding the stores thus leaving stock for us people who collect and use the amiibos.

Yeah, I mean, have you seen the Jigglypuff restock at Target.com

She's been up for over a week, and she was once considered super-rare.

There were also good restocks of various characters on GameStop, including Pit, and Ness.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Could it be lower demand, as well as greater supply? We're pretty far from Smash launch now.

That's good to hear... but hopefully they will restock some of the other rare ones before they get discontinued..

Agreed. They definitely should do a restock, but these prices are still good.

Definitely good to hear.
I'm no business expert or even a beginner, but personally, I think they should spend some money to open up a few production warehouses here in America that can be used just for making Amiibos.
Because it's North America where these things are such a huge deal, and China is the only place as far as I'm aware, where they make them, and they have to supply stock for all regions across the entire world.
So by having  new warehouses over here they can make and supply the at least the majority of amiibos for America.
And that can also save a lot of time and money on shipping and handling across the Pacific Ocean that can take up to weeks for them to be delivered. But that's just me.

Better late than never.
I feel sorry for the people that already bought them for a higher price.

And Iwata isn't here to see this :(
