I think this thread has run its course mods. We ran out of rail to chug out.

Translation: "This train didn't go where I was hoping it would. Stop the train. STOP the TRAIN! STOP THE TRAIN, DAMMIT!!!"

That was page 4.  We are now proudly on page 11.

Not really. It reads where are the mods to get people back on topic.

As you can see, even you can post unrelated topics and have fun this mess. Enjoy the thread.

Could also be that the mods actually see the discussion far less rigidly than you do and thus your desires for the discussion to stay so linear are being ignored by the mods?

EA Access is the app that is going to hurt Sony in the long run. They had the opportunity to have it and turned it down. So to be fair they asked for it. When more releases come out in the future like the next Crysis or Dead Space game, its really going to benefit Xbox a lot.

Not if these games have PS4 marketing exclusivity. And the majority of future big third party games will have PS4 marketing exclusivity because of the 50%+ user base. It's only starting this year with Batman, Metal Gear Solid, Battlefield, Star Wars Battlefront and Infinity (EA games right?), Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Destiny... Against Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3 (which sold better on the PS4 anyway), and maybe The Division? I surely forgot some games on both sides but the main ones are here.

Third party games will surely benefit the PS4 a lot this generation, more than Xbox IMO. It's far more important to have the bundle exclusivity than to have a few days of early access (and PS4 can have beta test, so an even earlier access).

It could be a lot of stuff but staying on topic of this discussion friend.

I would've just posted this, in Xbox Republic if I wanted this topic to be lost in unrelated mumbo jumbo.

How childish am I for speaking the brutal truth lol. Can I expect alittle bit objective opinion from someone without xbox one on a service exclusive on xbox one. Get and xbox one and subscribe EA Access for a month then we can talk about different opinions.

Are you suggesting people who dont have something cannot have an opinion? Are you saying I need to have a subscription service to know if I like the idea of it or not. I am technically knowledagble and a pretty heavy gamer, I think I can work out if the games they are offering and the service they have are what I want... or are you saying you were incapable of knowing if it was something you wanted until you purchased one... Your opinion is subjective.... not objective.

Of course you can have your opinion. But the fact that you dont have personal experience with it makes your opinion mostly subjective. Just like ppl who have never been to China making absurd comments about it yet all they know are some stupid news from online/paper media. Users on this site proved me right numerous times. So yes its my subjective opinion is that ppl without actual experience on something will probably make their subjective opinion no matter how they claim they have fully researched it. Funny enough, I stand correct most of the time.

So you dont know Dragon Age will be added to the vault later this summer(probably August) according EA's announcement around E3?

I tend to purchase the games I want at the time they are released.  So for me the 6 months to a year later additions aren't worthwhile.  Since I am current on the series I am interested in from the company there is no appeal in the "backlog" from it either.  As I said, the day one purchasing doesn't save me enough money to cover more than 10% of the cost of the service per year.  To me that isn't a valuable service.  The more they expand on it the more likely I will be to get it.  That expansion will need to be more than annual sports franchises, shooter games, and the series I already play though.

Fair enough. You can just wait for a year or two as they currently have 12/15 games added to the vault and thats the trend for future releases.

PSNow is a game streaming service, designed for previous generation games (PS3), and allow people to play these games directly from their TV, mobile, Blu ray player... Without a Playstation. Please show me how EA Access do that.

2 missed the point completely. If you want metaphors, I'll try one : I'm telling you if you've been sick everytime you went to the restaurant across the street, maybe you should be careful and not rush there when they have a special offer with a free dessert for a paid dish.

Not too happy about that metaphor, but I sure hope people will understand the point of my previous post without further explanation (and I'm sure some will, and some others don't want to).

1) PSNow is a subscription based rental service just like EA Access. There's no way to circumvent this.

They just use different ways to deliver the same type of service to their customer.

The extra platforms they're on doesn't matter as we're talking about consoles here.

2) You'r metaphor couldn't be employed in a more erroneous way. You imply with it that users already got burned by EA Access, when we didn't.

All you're saying is, you have a bad feeling about something you never used and one day it might become a Loch Ness monster.

I vote with my wallet like the gamers that chose EA Access and I'll keep in mind your advice, when they try to charge us $20/month or $45/month like the other guys.

Funny enough, I stand correct most of the time.

But you are making your opinion based on how you buy or not buy games. You are making a decision on a service based on *your* own buying preferences... not mine. This is why your argument is flawed.

I don't need personal experience because it's a service...doh. It's not something I need experience because it's as clear as day what it offers. If you were talking about Papa Johns Pizza, If I dont like pizza then I can make an assumption that I wont like Papa Johns Pizza.... but that's not whats being offered here. I like Pizza but Papa Johns is telling me i can have all these extra toppings for $... but I know that I dont want those toppings... See it's really easy to see that a service is not the same as a product.... I can make assumptions because they tell me what the service offers.... it's not difficult to see the big difference here.

Just to add more to my argument....here are the things they offer and why I dont need them:

The Vault... Get games some time after they release: I buy many games day 1. I own Battlefield, Need for speed, Dragon age... I own FIFA... I dont need to get FIFA every year... this has no impact on me because I buy my games. For other games I have PS+. I have hundreds of different games, I am not short of games. I collect games.

Play for less - save 10%: I am not short of money, also digital prices are usually more expensive than boxed products. I dont buy that many DLC/Expansions (see that I have hundreds of games).

Play First - I have hundreds of games, did I tell you that. I dont want to play a game before I get the box, because I am a collector, a few days before release, I dont care for it, because I dont want to have to download the data to my console.. because did I mention i have lots of games and I run out of space on my consoles regulary.

EA - Mostly Sports games - I dont care for sports games that much, I own FIFA 14 and N2K Basket ball but they were Next Gen purchases. Most of my games 99.9% are not sports games.

So If i was to look through the vault.... I own 4 of the games, and I dont care much for Peggle, NBA Live or Titanfall. So perhaps you can now see why I ( and probably many other people who play lots of games) dont care for EA access.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

So...it wasn't okay to talk about how Battlefront being on EA Access might effect the holidays as compared to the Sony marketing deal, but totally dumping Battlefront out of it and just talking about EA Access and comparing it to PSNow is totally fine?

Neat...

Anyways, will EA Access allow players to play online before the game comes out? and do we know how far ahead of time it comes out?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Remember like some other user said earlier. I'm not a mod and I can't ask people what to talk about in this thread.

I did that was ridiculed. I guess I might as well join the charade.

Thank you guys
