Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft's E3 Conference dominated social media

There already were threads about this.

Twitch isn't everything (YouTube?) and Sony's conference was at a very bad hour for Europe, and you know it (it was said a lot of times on the previous thread).

For social media, it's easy, it seems they took the "Xbox" keyword against the "Playstation" and "Wii U" keywords (and who doesn't use "Sony" and "Nintendo", really?). Except the discussions about Sony's conference were about FF7R, TLG, Shenmue, the games announced. A 50%/30% advantage could be believable, but come on, 70% Xbox and nothing out of the ordinary for Sony? You would have to live on another planet to miss the internet storm Sony's conference caused...

Like others said already, it would be better to let the E3 go. Maybe we should find some PS3 and XB360 social numbers to show the world that the Wii didn't won the previous generation...

So when will we begin to see Xbox One start selling more than half of what PS4 sells per week because this race has been dead for a long time already.

let alone sales that are good, just not as good as the PS4.

They are maybe ok or "good" in the US. Mostly everywere else, the sales are just poor

I am from Switzerland, so please accept my bad english ;)

"Normally, most of the B-teams of the DC Universe should have no problem with either Goku or any other SSJ out there, Gotenks and Vegito included. I think Black Adam would be enough, easily, to end them both. Maybe Booster Gold, if he could stop being a fuck up for a while."

In my opinion ms won e3, cause of the games shown, sony had a good e3 but didnt quite come close enough for my taste. Also ppl mention ff7 remake with ps4, which is fine but it seems every ps fan on this site and almost every site. Forgets the line after the word remake.
It clearly says, "play it first on playstation 4 "
which means it will not be a ps exclusive......

If u are a true gamer, and not some fanboy. U will want all systems to be a success, which cause competition and breeds excitement and more games for everyone to enjoy.

Trust me, FF7 will never come to the Xbox, why should this Game come to the Xbone anyways?? FF7 has no history there, all Fans want to play it on PS4 anyway. It will come maybe to the PC too. But never to the Xbox

Its amazing how people can have different opinions, right? I could not care less about FF7 or Shenmue 3, and only care a little about Guardian. So for me Sony had a Uncharted demo and Horizon. For me, MS had more than that. Plus awesome new features. New UI, BC, early access.

and the entire purpuse of remakes is usually bring them to a new audience as well as pleasing longtime fans. Of course it makes sense to release on as many platforms as possible.

I read that the exclusivity of FF7:R will be like SF5, PS4 and PC only.

On topic, this article is ridiculous, hasty conclusion without taking into account the context and omits facts that do not go in the same direction, but that has been already said numerous time.

Saying "I could not care less about FF7 or Shenmue 3" to discredit Sony's conference, to say MS "won" or "had more" is just plain silly. "I don't care about Halo, Tomb Raider, Gears, Hololens, etc", therefore MS had "nothing", so they lost. Sounds ridiculous, right?

You gotta be objective here. Just because one conference didn't "have anything" for you doesn't mean they didn't have anything at all. So what if, for you, they only had Uncharted and Horizon? They still had a lot of other stuff that affects more people than just you. Their announcements had much more real world impact. FF7 has over 10M views on YouTube. Shenmue 3 broke records for video games via Kickstarter. Several gaming websites locked up because they couldn't handle the traffic that came in from Sony's announcements. You may not care about real world impact, but that's what determines who "won". And Sony achieved that, in spades.

I really don't care about Nintendo, but if at one of their conferences, they announced a new Super Mario, the next Bioshock was exclusive, and a new IP from Square Enix with, say, Nomura at the helm, and it's Nintendo exclusive; and then Sony/MS turned around and only showed games we already expected to come out and montages of Madden and COD, would you say MS or Sony still won because "I could not care less about Bioshock and Mario" and an annual title like Madden appeals to you more?

I'm not saying the disparity between MS and Sony's conferences this year were that extreme, but it's the same logic to say MS won because Sony showed stuff you, personally, didn't care for, even though an overwhelming majority care more for them than they did for MSs announcements.

Well deserved tbh, I think it was their best E3 in memory. They just need to translate hype/discussion into sales now. I think they need a Slim console, price cut and some big games (including 3rd party deals) to have any chance of pushing past Sony.
