Nintendo hasn’t named a new president. Taking the baton for now are Genyo Takeda and Shigeru Miyamoto, representative directors of Nintendo. Mr. Takeda developed the Wii with Mr. Iwata.

Delivering a eulogy Friday, Mr. Takeda said that he and Mr. Miyamoto would strive to complete the work that Mr. Iwata started. Mr. Takeda said the seeds that Mr. Iwata planted would one day grow into flowers “that will make people around the world smile.”

Really beautiful eulogy and touching tribute to Iwata. I think he'll be remembered for all his accomplishments in future generations. He may have taken a lot of flack for his decisions in the moment, but he truly was a visionary.
