Forums - Nintendo - Some new Devil's Third info ("30fps", no voice chat, 16 player multiplayer)

My god does this look awful...the graphics would be average for a 2009 PS3/Xbox 360 game, the animations are crappy, and the gameplay looks clunky as hell.

Why does this game even exist?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

You may not believe this but most people move their character around the given track during MK8 gameplay.

You may not believe but that game isn't a looker. It just escaped the loophole. And the jaggies, alising and poor textures are no excuse for a system that wants to complete with other 8th gen consoles.

Thank goodness I don't play games for their visuals.

Depends on how you see it. In motion MK8 looks great. But in reality its not that great. Its from digital foundry. And look at alising and other assets.

The game IS a looker and WiiU never wanted to compete with other 8th gen consoles in graphic power, never. And that game could easily be a ps4 game with just antialiasing, that btw, the last thing you see when you are enjoying MK8 is the aliasing, your point of view about videogames is usually really superficial, I have been playing on PC from years, My current PC is more powerfull than a Ps4 and I´m still blown away for the amazing mix of graphic quality and good artsyle of MK8, a game that also has a flawless performance at the level of few games this generation.

I was told by many non-Wii U owners that Mighty No. 9 looked great and was fine for an 8th gen console.

That "car" doesn't look like shit because of Youtube compression...

I think the problem was a failure while loading the object and the textures that go with it. I saw it once or twice with Batman: Arkham City on Wii U, but still that game looked fine. Problem is if it always happens or it was just a bug that was not caught during QA. From my point of view that is the biggest problem of the game, it could use more time in QA to fix the bugs that people are facing.

The graphics are poor and the game is not pretty but doesn´t look as bad as many people says, is like a 2008 game the problem is, it lacks a lot of polish.

I laughed way more than I should have at the "tens of thousands of players" quote. It's like they don't have much faith in the game's sales. Actually, I think they would be lucky to get that much of a fanbase considering all the negativity this game's been getting.

It's kind of sad seeing Itagaki pumping this game out.

...this game isn't gonna do well isn't it.

Why does every game have to be a AAA game?

I mean, worse things can be said about indies. I really dont understand this mindset.

You know Bound by flame? Slammed by reviews, mad from a studio of what 30 people? It was a really fun game. Incomplete, not an edge game, but a game that you can enjoy. You guys really have to learn how to read between the lines. This all or nothing mindset has to change.

You remember that Tetris game? Awful graphics, awful animations, yet it can be fun and addicting. How easily it can be forgotten that games are about fun and not about graphics.

Who cares about cinematic 30 fps and 16 player multiplayer. No tits, no buy.

Well it has ass at the very least.

The whole game is ass.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531
