The sales of Splatoon genuinely surprised me the most.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

PS3's rise after their fall, beating Xbox360 with their 1yr +5million sales headstart.

The PS3's comeback. After all the fails they roared back with a vengeance to match the Xbox.

Nothing amazing about the PS3, it was simply too expensive at launch... but give credit to Sony for the support with software in years that followed.

How successful the wii/ds was even after so many said they would flop

Who said the DS was going to flop?

Many did. I remember many articles back then saying how epic the psp was going to be and how it was going to out sell the DS by quite a bit due to the DS being so heavily underpowered and that the two screens didn't make any sense and etc

I remember the DS doomed story when PSP was announce.

Zelda and Sonic not selling in Japan. It's not a big deal but it still shocks me to this day. Also that Mega Man doesn't sell as well as I thought it did before coming here.

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

Just Dance.. Turned out that we all wanna dance..

PS3's comeback.

Wii U and vita's failure.

And finally PS4's success.

Nintendo's intent on killing the Wii off.
Pokémon X/Y's relative lack of sales compared to other Pokémon titles.

And... not too much else. I guess I also thought the 3DS would sell a little better and the PS4 would have a little more competition from the XBO and Wii U, but I wasn't all too surprised when those things didn't come true.
