So far, there have been 4 Final Fantasy games released:

  1. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
  2. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward (expansion)
  3. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
  4. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
There are also 3 games confirmed to be released on the PS4:
  1. Final Fantasy XV
  2. World of Final Fantasy
  3. Final Fantasy VII Remake
And some possible PS4 releases:
  1. Dissidia Final Fantasy
  2. Final Fantasy Type-Next
So, how many Final fantasy games will the PS4 end up with?

Hard to say, no one saw a game like World of FF coming and an expansion is not a seperate game.

Not enough. But a remaster of FFXII and another big collection (I-VI?) are due.

If Heavensward counts as an entire game does that mean X/X-2 Remaster count as 2 games?

Well, it depends on the logic that it used. They did not have separate releases, so I didn't include them separately. You don't have to include Heavensward into the numbered list if you don't want to.

I'd like to think Heavensward is a huge DLC to FF14 so that shouldn't count. However FFX and FFX-2 are two completely different games.

The PS4 will end up with 12 FF games, hopefully Crisis Core HD is one of them.
