Why would you own something you dislike then?

I buy every console every generation regardless if I like it or not.

I hate Nintendo; they ruined this generation for me. Now I have to rely on *Sony* to make *that* console, and they can never do it as great as Nintendo can.

I'm a Nintendo-fanboy who went for the PSWii-combo... Before this gen, i had only purchased Nintendo consoles...

cant stand the wii, i tried playing it and it bored me, i dont like the idea after a hard days work coming home an dthrowing my arms arround in my front room, although saying that looks like imj going to have to buy one soon as the wife wants one

I'm kind of the inverse of what this thread is about.  I'd like to think I'm not a fanboy but I think Nintendo made games the best.  Always have to get the latest Zelda, Mario, and Mario Kart.  I bought a Wii two weeks from launch (dang work so I couldn't get one at launch).  I always thought I may get a second console.  I had the gamecube/xbox last gen.  I thought the Xbox was okay.  I liked the hard drive/graphics, but I felt the games were lacking.  So I was leaning towards the PS3.  I don't really like FPS which is where the 360 dominates.  I love action/racing games, with GT5, Dirt (better on PS3), F1, Nascar games, Devil May Cry, NHL 08, better Madden etc. on the PS3 I inherently wanted it.  The problem is I now have a wife.  So any major purchase (yes $400 is major) requires her approval.  I was able to get it because of Blu Ray being a factor in the PS3 and Blu Rays win.  I saw that the MGS4 bundle was coming.  But I didn't like MG when I tried it for the cube.  And as I said b4 I'm big into racing games.  So I decided to buy now on SonyStyle to get the $100 credit and interest free for a year.  I got the 80 gig and Motorstorm bundle.  I've been playing with wavebirds for some time period so I'm not concerned with the lack of rumble.  And to me at least Motorstorm > MGS4.  The backwards compatibilty is huge as I just bought my first two PS2 games.
