My kids are 18 and 16, so yeah, they would be unhappy. Though no doubt there would be several games they would enjoy, just not as much as as games they like on PS4.

They'd be spoiled fuckers if they got upset.

My partners son loves his WiiU, his friends even lied to him about they can get Splatoon on there playstations as well lol

If i have a kid in the future i will make sure first what kind of console he/she would like to have. After all, we buying them a console for them to enjoy. So i will buy them when they smart enough to enjoy the games.

i would get them what would make them unhappy on purpose so they learn the value of having something when others have nothing.

You're supposed to get them exactly what they want, then wait for the opportune moment when you catch them mocking those with less...

...and then smash the console to pieces in front of their very eyes.

I have no children, but when I do, they will grow up on Nintendo just like I did. If they want to move on to mobile or Sony or Microsoft, they can do that at a later date. For their childhood, it'll be Nintendo. Whether it's a Wii U or a NX.

I have a 4yr old girl, so naturally, I'd let her play Nintendo games, and she's too familiar with Nintendo characters anyways so if I ever leave my Wii U with her in the future I think she would really be happy, oh and she's really fond with Bayonetta, she even poses like her(and the splatoon kids) sometimes too o_0.

I like what a lot of people are saying.

When you get right down to it, this situation isn't about what the hottest system is, it's about making sure kids don't grow up to be spoiled or entitled.

If you get a kid a current generation videogame console, and said child openly shows disdain or a lack of gratitude because it's not a console he/she would have picked, something's wrong.
