My daughter and I play a lot of Wii U together, she adores Wii U. I have a PS4 too, but she would rather be playing Mario party 10 with me, than sitting there watching me play Arkham Knight. I bought her a 2nd hand DS as her introduction to gaming, and she's becoming rather a pro at NSMB and Yoshis island DS. In fact her Yoshi skills have transferred over really well to Woolly world, she is a real asset when we play co-op on that.

If an 8 year old child is dissappointed that they got a WiiU the parenting should come into question and how much he/she is spoiled and not taught value of something

My girls reaction to the wii u was ambivalent at best, but they don't much care for video games in the first place.

Sometimes it depends on age. If its a little kid got one, he probably wouldn't care. But if most preteens/teens got one, then yeah, blood will be shed.

bet: lost

It will depend a lot in the age of the kid, between 6 and 12 he will be very, very, very happy, between 12 and 17 he will be angry because the console lacks the cool factor.

My kid is fourteen. I have every console and our gaming sessions consist mostly of Splatoon and LBP3.

Dont have kids, but brothers.

13 year old bro with be annoyed but still grateful. Pretty much most of his friends have ps4's so getting a wii u isolates him. He also likes mario kart and smash bros, but he knows that the ps4 has a crazy amount of games coming out and the wii u really doesnt.

8 year old bro would like it. He enjoys smash and mario kart 8 alot, and he likes the second screen to play when others use the t.v. Also, most kids his age really aren't following the big titles like destiny, skyrim, or gta, so having mario and zelda are good enough

They would probably be confused about getting a console made more than 20 years ago.

It came out 1 year before its competition. I know it was meant to be a jab but it´s neither smart nor funny. Please learn how to funny

I think they more mean that they don't plan on having kids for a long time.
