Forums - Sales - Should we talk about the fact that Rise of the Tomb Raider does not seemto be doing well in pre-orders?

I don't think anyone is too shocked. The game will sell just over 1m this holiday. Its core audience (the people who pre-order) are probably waiting for the PS4 version to be announced in the next 9months

I'm not sure it will sell well on ps4. It's coming in 2016 amongst some big hitters like Uncharted 4, Dark Souls 3, Mirrors Edge, The Division, Dishonoured 2, ARK, Horizon, Doom, Mass Effect, Ratchet & Clank, TLG and any other unannounced games we don't know off.

I can see it selling better once it has a price drop on both the PS4 and X1.

Also, we don't know how the PS community will react to it after CD made the deal with MS.

Honestly, this was a complete waste of money on Microsoft part, but at least the Ps4 version will actually sell decently considering its not releasing on the same day as...... Fallout 4....

I looked like it would do well until the Fallout 4 release date annouccment, Now it will really split day One buyers.

Hopefully if it flops on xbox one it makes SE semi desperate and they bring the game to PS4 as quickly as possible. I will be waiting.

I wouldn't be surprised if it does horribly. Don't understand why anyone not working for MS would setup an exclusive deal with them for anything more than marketing.

I think the split with be 50/50 or 60/40 in favor of the 360 with Fallout 4 taking a good chunk of day one buyers on the Xbox One.

I never fully believe VGC preorders.

The pre order numbers aren't very accurate.

True pre-order numbers are not very accurate. But are they so badly inaccurate that RoTR is not on the list but it is in reality sitting at 70-100K?
