why shouldnt you not buy MGS5? its the last game by kojima and if it bombs Konami is gonna say: see thats why we go mobile, it was good idea to fire Kojima, Fuck console gaming

After something like this happens the affected tend to prefer/value independence. I doubt anyone's going to "buy" the staff.

Somebody high up in Konami thinks he is really smart, and wants to prove they can make good games without Kojima.

Reminds me of Jerry Krause who was eager to disband the Jordan/ Pippen bulls so he could prove how great he was and that their success was his genious, and not the fact he lucked out by getting the greatest player ever.

No, people are rewarding kojima for his shit. Its just unfortunate that konami is a bennifactor. Ah well, guess konami has become the squareenix of this gen.

yes and who benefits financially from it? If the game sells well all it will show is studios can treat their devs like shit because customers just want the games.

It became way more likely, because now that they can't make good new games they'll have to keep on rereleasing  their good old games

It's unbelievable how Capcom and Konami, two of the most storied Japanese developers of all time, have completely burned bridges with some of the top developers behind their biggest IPs.
