Not bad for a clone, hope it keeps the sales high. Imagine the numbers Minecraft can do on Nintendo systems.

I'm kinda angry by this news. They could have made Minecraft at any point, but they didn't. And if they do it now, it will move all the Cube Life WiiU and Cube Creator for 3DS, and their developers at least took the time and efford to fill that obvious gap on the market.
This game is okay as a survival game, but as a block building game it sucks. Poor minecraft clone.

As for the block building part, it is enough for me. I am not building mansions and stuff like in minecraft anyways. |
Yep, I have. It's pretty hard which is why I like it as a survival game. Just not as a creative building game. In all honesty, I love Minecraft because of the redstone.
This game's success means that Microsoft and Mojang have missed a great opportunity here. They recently claimed that they'd like to release Minecraft on Wii U. Hopefully this means they are actually working on it or at least in the process of contacting Nintendo to finally port the game.
Edit: I was actually suprised by Mojang's recent public statement because the fact that Minecraft hasn't been released on the Wii U yet gave me the impression that they're not interested in releasing the game on more platforms after Microsoft aquired them.

Yeah, nothing like some redstone to make all those contraptions in MC.
There is a MC clone that is killing it for a while now on iOS/Android (despite MC pocket edition), and in some aspects it's better than MC (it also has redstone equivalent) - Survivalcraft. Honestly, I wonder why that's not on WiiU, given that MC is absent.
My kids will love this. However am I correct that there is no local multiplayer yet?
And does it support wii mote + nunchuck or will a controller be required?
