Forums - Sony - If your PS2 breaks, will you buy another one?

Yeah, she has been playing since Atari. Then stopped until my then girlfriend used to bring up her PS1 and Spyro. My mother plays Ratchet and Clank, Jak And Daxter, Sly Cooper, Crash Bandicoot. Hot shots golf and other games. It takes her at least 3 times longer to beat a game, but she does with persistance.

Well currently i have a 60GB BC PS3 and 2 PS2's in my house (one of which isn't used at the moment) so i don't think i will need to buy another one anytime soon lol :D

I have a 60GB PS3.

I gave my PS2, (still working since launch) to a friend.

My son gave his PS2 to his sister but she now has a Wii too so it's just in a closet collecting dust at this point.

If my PS2 broke, I would get another one, even though I have a 60 GB PS3. Even if my PS1 broke, I would get another one. Gotta have em' all.

I am going to buy a PS2 even if my current PS2 is still working so that I have a backup for when my current PS2 bites the dust.

I own a backwards compatible PS3 but since the backwards compatibility is not 100% I will have to buy a spare PS2. I intend to enjoy my PS2 library forever!

I pic #3...as in have a PS3 with BC.

I'm back...

I bought a 60gb mainly for this reason. the ps2 is now used a dvd player. If it breaks I'll get a white ps2 or maybe silver. I just want to have a working ps2 for my collection.

Believe me BC sucks on the PS3 at times even for PS games, so stick with a PS2 for your older games is my major advice!

60 gig w/ full H/w BC?  If I may ask, which games are having problems?  I have a 60 GB w/ full BC and no problems here with any games.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
